Description

Shirley Parsons is partnered with a large general contractor to help identify a  Safety Manager for a long term project in Uruguay supporting a government facility. The ideal candidate will be tasked with monitoring and enforcing all OSHA and company issued safety requirements on site. 

This is a permanent position with a salary and benefits. Housing, relocation assistance, per diem, and paid leave are available for this position. 

The Role: 

• Oversees the field staff in ensuring the company and its job sites remain hazard and accident free by conducting periodic safety inspections

• Collect and analyze available date, investigation outcomes, and field observations to identify and systematically address areas for safety process and policy improvement throughout the enterprise

• Maintain documentation, assist in inspecting and investigation incidents, and help provide safety training

• Ensure every member of the company complies with health and safety laws

• Identify hazards and implement various safety programs 

• Prepare and present safety reports for upper level management 

The Candidate:

• 5-7+ years experience in industrial or civil construction  

• CHST required

• Bachelors degree preferred

• Strong written and verbal communication skills required

• Strong supervisory experience required
