Description
A world-renowned University Hospital is seeking a Radiation Safety Manager to oversee its radiation safety program and develop new policies and procedures. The Radiation Safety Manager will be working as part of the broader Research Center in Health Sciences.
The role:
- Working closely with the research staff to develop a strong and collaborative radiation safety program
- Manage a staff of 5 employees
- Provide insight and management for regulatory compliance in the clinic
- Manager dosimetry program and inspections
- Building strong relationships with researchers and staff
The candidate:
- 5-7+ years in radiation safety
- Bachelor's Degree in EHS, Health Physics, Nuclear Engineering or similar (Advanced Degree preferred)
- Completed NRC Form 313A
- Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) certification eligibility by the State of New Mexico
- Ability to build and maintain strong collaborative and professional relationships with EH&S staff, Principal Investigators, researchers and clients
