Country Quality Manager

Shirley Parsons is delighted to be working exclusively with a leading Aviation organisation. They are looking to appoint a Country Quality Manager paying circa £60,000 reporting into the Head of HSSE.

The role is working in a fast-paced environment within the UK Cargo operation based at Heathrow covering all UK regional facilities including their prestigious Airline partners, providing regulatory advice and support to the business as well as ensuring processes and procedures are documented and implemented in line with both Regulatory and Customer requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to run a self-audit program to ensure the Country Management meets all requirements of customers, authorities or company documentation, equipment, and personnel performance to identify best practices. Results have to be reported to Head of HSSE for presentation to the Country Senior Leadership Team
  • Support the preparation of external audits and monitor the implementation whenever necessary. Lead the organisation to fulfil and maintain certification.
  • In the event of non-compliance or identified deficiencies, provide support to address issues. This includes the review of corrective and preventive to avoid future occurrences.
  • Support improvement projects and monitors their effectiveness to requirements. This involves identification of opportunities for enhancing
  • Collaborate with procurement to ensure suppliers fulfil all quality standards requirements. If applicable, perform audits on suppliers to ensure all contractual requirements are being met
  • Identify potential risks and hazards within our operations and develop quality-related solutions
  • Stay updated on industry regulations, EMEAA standards, and best organization remains in compliance with relevant regulations and implement

Qualifications:

  • Aviation or Logistics industry experience is desirable but open to heavy regulated industries.
  • Excellent communication/interpersonal skills with the ability to challenge and influence others effectively.
  • Ability to plan, prioritise and organize own workload, working under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Strong IT skills and understanding of customs software/interfaces.
  • Travel required for site visits.
