Corporate Health and Safety Manager

A leading manufacturing organization is looking to hire a Corporate Health and Safety Manager near Pembroke, ON. Reporting to the VP of HSSE for the organization, the incumbent will manage, update, and develop Safety programs and policies across the region, responsible for overseeing organizational compliance. This position has a clear path to step into a director role.

The Role:

  • Influences regional and local stakeholders to drive the Safety performance
  • Accountable for preparing and managing Safety documentation for each location
  • Monitors changes to all Safety regulations and conducts regular audits
  • Supports company interface with regulatory authorities for regulatory visits
  • Managing a team of safety professionals

The Candidate:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in EHS/Science/Engineering or a related technical field preferred
  • 5-8+ years' experience in Safety leadership
  • Experience managing multiple locations, or a complex facility
  • Experience with Nuclear safety  
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to work in a team environment and communicate at all levels
