Description
We are currently working with a reputable, global energy business who are looking for an experienced Health and Safety Manager to join their team. Based on a major project in Fife, you will be collaborating with both internal and external teams to ensure a positive, collaborative, and compliant approach is being taken on site. The successful candidate stepping into this role with be leading a small team of Health and Safety professionals with wider responsibility for sub-contractors and external visitors present on the project, so strong communication and relationship-building skills are essential for this position. Suitable candidates will hold the NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent, be commutable to Fife, and have experience in a Health and Safety role across energy, construction, oil and gas, or utilities sites.
The Role:
Manage a team of HSE professionals to develop and lead them on all HSE matters
Support the wider management team on all HSE related matters, providing advice and guidance on trends and suggestions for improvement
Maintain and develop the existing HSE integrated management system
Report, manage, and review any data and statistics related to HSE related accidents
Manage the review and improvement of HSE related documentation such as processes, policies, and procedures
Carry out audits and inspections across the project with the aid of your HSE team
The Candidate:
Previous management experience with a Tier 1 Contractor in a Health and Safety related role
Must hold the NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification
4 years experience as a minimum within the Health and Safety industry
Experience and knowledge within the energy, oil and gas, or utilities sector
Strong leadership and communication skills
IT literate including good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
