Description
A growing heavy industrial manufacturing company is seeking a driven, ambitious Site Safety Manager for their brand-new facility in the Lake Wales, FL area. Reporting into the Plant Manager, the incumbent will be tasked with leading the EHS department and building a comprehensive safety management system from the ground up.
The role:
- Drive employee engagement and buy-in for EHS programs, building a strong culture of safety
- Develop and implement a strategic, foundational plan to achieve EHS excellence and the integration of EHS with production and quality
- Working with site leadership, this individual will be involved in safety from construction to start up.
The candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Occupational Health & Safety or related field
- 7+ years of safety leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably building materials
- Excellent communication, influencing, and leadership skills
