A leading industrial organization is seeking an Environmental Engineer to support its operations in a dynamic production environment. This individual will be responsible for driving environmental compliance, sustainability initiatives, and operational excellence across the facility. The Role
- Lead environmental compliance programs related to air emissions, water management, waste handling, and regulatory reporting while ensuring alignment with applicable federal, state, and local requirements.
- Manage and maintain site environmental plans and systems, including spill prevention, stormwater management, hazardous waste programs, permitting, and environmental management systems.
- Partner with operations and maintenance teams to oversee environmental equipment performance, support troubleshooting efforts, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Track, analyze, and report environmental performance metrics, including waste generation, recycling, energy usage, and sustainability objectives.
- Support employee training, regulator interactions, community engagement activities, and environmental projects from planning through implementation.
The Candidate
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical discipline; equivalent relevant experience will also be considered.
- 0-5 years of experience supporting environmental compliance within a manufacturing, industrial, or heavy production environment.
- Working knowledge of environmental permitting and regulations, including areas such as air quality, wastewater, hazardous waste management, and environmental reporting.
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, problem-solving, and project management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of an organization.
