Shirley Parsons helped a global fintech company strengthen compliance across 11 European countries by providing bespoke Health & Safety frameworks, local legal expertise, and end-to-end project management.
A global fintech organisation identified a need to enhance its health, safety, and legal compliance framework across some of its European office portfolio.
While its central operations maintained strong oversight, regional sites in countries such as Slovenia, Malta, Cyprus, and others required clearer visibility of their local legal obligations and guidance on meeting required compliance standards.
The complexity of varying national legislation and the challenge of maintaining consistent compliance across multiple jurisdictions meant the client needed a trusted partner with access to reliable in-country Health & Safety expertise.
Having previously supported the client in Slovenia, Shirley Parsons was engaged to expand that work across 11 European countries.
Our project team, one Project and one Resource manager, coordinated the delivery from start to finish. This involved sourcing and managing experienced local H&S subject matter experts in each country to ensure the highest quality and relevance of advice.
The central focus of the project was the creation and administration of bespoke Legal Risk Registers for each location. These registers identified:
• Applicable national legislation,
• The client’s current level of compliance,
• Potential penalties imposed for compliance breaches
• Compliance status safety risk rating
• Practical recommendations for achieving or maintaining compliance.
Strong communication and project management were key to delivery. Weekly coordination meetings ensured that consultants, the project team, and the client remained aligned throughout. Despite a tight timeframe and multiple time zones, the project was completed successfully.
The project gave the client clarity and confidence across its European operations. By providing clear visibility of country-specific requirements and developing a continuous improvement-based framework for compliance, the client:
• Reduced potential legal and operational risks,
• Achieved required compliance assurance in every country,
• Benefited from local expertise without needing to manage multiple vendors, and
• Gained peace of mind that compliance was being managed professionally and consistently.
Through Shirley Parsons’ end-to-end project management, the client could focus on its core operations while trusting that all compliance obligations were being met across Europe.
