A leading pharmaceutical organization is hiring an EHS and Industrial Hygiene Manager. This person will lead EHS, chemical hygiene, and industrial hygiene programs across two U.S. facilities in New Jersey and Delaware. The role offers strong visibility across the organization and the opportunity to act as a technical subject matter expert for a growing global organization.
The Role
- Develop, implement, and maintain EHS, Chemical Hygiene, and Industrial Hygiene programs.
- Lead industrial hygiene sampling, exposure assessments, and API/surrogate testing supporting OEB and potent compound programs.
- Manage broader EHS programs at designated sites, including hazardous waste, LOTO, PPE, noise, machine guarding, incident investigations, audits, and CAPA tracking.
- Provide chemical safety training, regulatory guidance, and technical expertise while completing periodic site audits.
The Candidate
- BS/BA in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, EHS, or a related discipline preferred.
- 10+ years of relevant industrial hygiene, chemical safety, or chemical engineering experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with chemical exposure assessment, IH sampling, and exposure-control strategies.
- Knowledge of OSHA, NIOSH, EPA, and other applicable regulatory requirements; pharmaceutical, laboratory, or GMP environments are highly desirable.
- CIH certification preferred, with the ability to travel approximately 30-40%.
