A leading industrial manufacturing organization is looking to add an Environmental, Health & Safety Manager to support multiple facilities across the Midwest. Based in the Columbus, OH area, this person will be responsible for strengthening EHS compliance, standardizing safety programs, and helping build a more proactive safety culture across a growing multi-site operation. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on EHS professional who enjoys partnering with operations, driving continuous improvement, and building scalable safety systems that support long-term business growth.

The Role

  • Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of environmental, health, and safety programs across multiple manufacturing sites.
  • Partner with operations, maintenance, engineering, HR, and site leadership teams to drive safety culture, employee engagement, and accountability.
  • Conduct audits, inspections, risk assessments, incident investigations, and corrective action tracking to ensure regulatory compliance and risk reduction.
  • Develop and deliver EHS training, written programs, procedures, and communication tools related to key safety and environmental requirements.
  • Monitor EHS performance metrics, identify trends, and implement initiatives that improve compliance, reduce incidents, and strengthen operational performance.

The Candidate

  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field, with 5+ years of EHS experience within manufacturing or industrial environments.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety program management, incident investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective action processes.
  • Experience supporting environmental compliance activities including hazardous waste, SDS management, air permitting, stormwater, and related regulatory requirements.
  • Proven ability to influence and build relationships with employees, supervisors, and senior leaders while maintaining a strong floor presence.
  • Multi-site manufacturing experience and professional certifications such as CSP, ASP are preferred.
