Celebrating 35 Years of Florence Nightingale Hospice.

CSR

Shirley Parsons were delighted to attend the 35th anniversary of Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity, our chosen charity partner for 2024.

The celebration, which was held at Notley Abbey, marked a milestone for the hospice, which has been providing vital care and support to those with life-limiting illnesses since it first opened its doors in 1989.

A night of celebration and charity.

Jo Hill, Sarah Gould, Mike Roebuck, Emily Swindlehurst and Ethan Baddeley were honoured to attend the milestone event, having earned the most ‘golden tickets’ points for our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts throughout the year.

The evening, which featured a raffle and silent auction, raised over £14,000 to help support the hospice’s vital work. Shirley Parsons Office Manager Jo Hill says:

“We are incredibly proud to have raised £1,680 so far this year for Florence Nightingale Hospice, and we extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has contributed to this meaningful cause.”

About Florence Nightingale Hospice.

Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity (FNH) was selected as Shirley Parsons’ charity partner for 2024. They are renowned for providing compassionate care and support to individuals with life-limiting illnesses and their families.

Since 1989, FNH has been a cornerstone of the community, offering specialised clinical, practical, and emotional care. As the only bedded hospice unit in Buckinghamshire for respite and end-of-life care, their services are indispensable and provided free of charge.

After the event, they said:

“We had a great time celebrating our Hospice’s 35th anniversary at Notley Abbey. As well as celebrating, we raised £14,000 for our FNH@Home team of nurses and carers who provide much-needed end of life care to thousands of patients across Buckinghamshire. Thank so much to everyone who attended, taking part in our auction and raffle. We are truly grateful to the companies supporting our invitation and helping create this fabulous evening.”
