With a workforce of over 5,000 individuals, safety and well-being are paramount to their operations. As they continue to grow, they are seeking a dedicated Health & Safety Manager to join the team and uphold their commitment to providing a secure and healthy work environment for all employees.

Job Description:
As the Health & Safety Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety, health, and well-being of our employees at our large distribution center located on the outskirts of Paris. You will be responsible for implementing and overseeing comprehensive health and safety programs, policies, and procedures to minimize occupational hazards and promote a culture of safety throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, national, and international regulations.
Conduct regular risk assessments and inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
Collaborate with department managers to ensure that safety protocols are effectively communicated and adhered to by all employees.
Provide training and educational programs on safety practices, emergency procedures, and regulatory compliance to large teams.
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and develop strategies to prevent reoccurrence.
Manage the distribution center's emergency response and crisis management plans.
Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and legislative changes related to health and safety.
Monitor and analyze health and safety performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and track progress.
Foster a culture of safety awareness and accountability by promoting employee engagement and participation in safety initiatives.
Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies, auditors, and other external stakeholders regarding health and safety matters.
Work under pressure to address urgent safety concerns and emergencies effectively.


Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or related field is desirable
Proven experience in health and safety management, preferably in a large-scale distribution center or industrial setting.
In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and mitigate safety risks.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Demonstrated leadership abilities with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
Certified Health and Safety Professional (CHSP) or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken.
