Health Safety & Environment Manager

For our client's distribution centres and logistics hub, we are looking for a Health & Safety Manager. As a Health & Safety Manager, you are the ambassador of a safe working environment and know how to convey this in an inspiring and motivating way within the locations. Together with your team of HSE specialists (3 FTE), you determine the strategic safety policy and implement it for the DC and the 15 logistics Hubs. All this to create the safest possible working environment for all employees.

Responsibilities
-Setting up and managing your team with HSE coordinators;
-Determining and implementing the safety policy;
-Training, educating, and informing colleagues about Health and Safety;
-Translating ideas into concrete improvements within the entire operation;
-Continuously improving to ensure one of the safest working environments in the Netherlands;
-Willingness to travel to our various hubs and offices in the Netherlands;
-Preparing, executing, and following up on internal audits in the field of Health & Safety.
-Ensuring that the organization complies with current laws and regulations regarding safety and health;

Requirements:
-You have a diploma in IVK, HVK, MVK, or a related field.
-Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Health and Safety role and you have worked on the successful implementation of a Health & Safety policy.
-You have experience in managing a team.
-You have a social, proactive, and motivating personality.
-You thrive in a fast-changing environment and are not afraid to address unsafe behavior.
-You can translate (abstract) ideas into concrete improvement projects and you know how to create support within the organization with your enthusiasm.
-You know how to prioritize for yourself and your team so that long-term planning stays in focus and urgent matters are resolved.
-Finally, you have a strong sense of responsibility and exude passion for Health and Safety!
-Fluency in Dutch and English is required for this role.
