Environmental Advisor

£45,000 basic salary + benefits

We are currently working with a leading international defence organisation, who has an opportunity for an Environmental Advisor to join their team.

The Environmental Advisor will be responsible for:

Support the Sector Environment and Sustainability Manager to develop and deliver Sector strategy and Group commitments.
Maintain the Environmental Legislation Register and regular legal updates.
Be the key point of contact for advice and guidance to internal stakeholders on environmental requirements and best practice.
Work closely with the Procurement & Supply Chain team to determine how we can improve processes aligning to ISO 20400 guidelines, improve waste data and how we can divert waste from landfill.
Manage the environmental performance of the supply chain, including undertaking supply chain audits and environmental performance reviews.

The Environmental Advisor will have:

Experience working in a similar role with a track record of positively impact business performance and/or operational role including technical experience.
Knowledge of Carbon data and Scope 3 carbon emissions.
Up to date knowledge of changes in environmental regulation and industry standard best practice.
Auditing experience.
