Description

A growing food production company is looking for an experienced EHSS manager to manage the plant safety programs to ensure a safe and accident-free work environment. The incumbent will be responsible for leading and supporting the development and implementation of facility-wide health and safety programs and delivering training with the help of the onsite and corporate teams. 

The Role:

• Manage all aspects of environmental, health, safety, sand security programs and regulations at the plant;
• Promote an accident-free work environment by developing programs that will train, monitor, and ensure a safe workplace;
• Assist in accident investigations and prepare accident reports required by regulatory agencies, prepare JHAs;
• Conduct inspections and audits at the plant and at other nearby facilities to identify potential accident hazards and determine corrective or preventative measures accordingly.

The Candidate:

• A Bachelor's degree and/or relevant EHS certifications such as CSP are highly preferred;
• 5+ years of related experience, with demonstrated experience leading the health and safety function;
• A consistent track record of driving the EHSS agenda;
• In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations, reporting and record-keeping requirements;
• Exposure to PSM programs is highly preferred
