We have partnered exclusively with a reputable principal contractor in the infrastructure sector who are looking to expand their SHEQ team. Based on a highways infrastructure project in the Cornwall region, you will have experience working hands-on across projects to build relationships with site teams and ensure a positive, compliant culture. The Health and Safety Advisor will be responsible for:
- Overseeing the health and safety performance on site on a day-to-day basis
- Provide support to the wider health and safety team across the business, offering guidance and advice on all related matters
- Support the wider project supply-chain to ensure health and safety compliance, as well as a positive culture
- Maintain, manage, and improve existing health and safety policies, procedures, and systems
- Assist with the preparation of health and safety risk assessments and method statements
- Build relationships to understand and support on the client needs and requirements
The Health and Safety Advisor will have:
- At least 1 year of experience in a similar health and safety position, preferably within the infrastructure/construction sector
- NEBOSH General/Construction Certificate or equivalent level qualification
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Full UK Driving Licence with the ability to commute to the project 3-4 times a week
