A local, leading industrial manufacturer is seeking to hire a Health and Safety Manager to support multiple locations throughout the Pacific Northwest. Overseeing multiple sites, the incumbent will manage, update, and develop Safety programs and policies across the region, responsible for overseeing organizational compliance with local, state and federal safety regulations.
The Role:
- Influences regional and local stakeholders to drive the Safety performance
- Accountable for preparing and managing Safety documentation for each location
- Monitors changes to all Safety regulations and conducts regular audits
- Supports company interface with regulatory authorities for regulatory visits
- Develop a positive safety culture via behavior based safety
- Regular travel, in the field approximately 75% of the time (mostly out of Portland, OR site)
- Communicates with leadership teams across departments
The Candidate:
- Bachelor’s Degree in EHS/Science/Engineering or a related technical field preferred
- 8+ years' experience in Safety positions
- Experience managing multiple locations, or a complex facility
- Experience within a heavy industrial or heavy manufacturing environment
- Excellent communication skills, ability to work in a team environment and communicate at all levels
- Excellent time management skills dealing with competing priorities
