A leading hotel and resort is looking for a Claims & Safety Specialist to join their team based in Alpine, CA. You would be responsible for overseeing the workers comp program across the resort analyzing all claims, alongside supporting safety matters for team members and guests. The Role:

  • Design and manage the Work Injury Program, including, but not limited to managing the relationship with insurance carriers and/or third party administrators, monitoring claims, maintaining files and providing necessary support in defense of claims
  • Maintains OSHA and company work injury logs, including determining if an injury/illness is recordable
  • Coordinate general liability claims management
  • Collect, analyze, and evaluate safety, loss, and accident data. Reporting back to the EHS Director on trends and loss control measures
  • Conduct safety inspections, risk assessments or trainings as required

The Candidate: 

  • A self-starter, with strong communication skills who can engage with internal & external stakeholders alike
  • 2 yens experience working within risk & safety
  • Experience overseeing workers comp matters and dealing with insurance providers
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays, and be on-call when required
