Description
A global, industry-leading manufacturer is seeking a Senior Engineer, Carbon Management Strategies to lead their enterprise-wide carbon management strategy. This role will be a key part of their corporate Sustainability team, with oversight across 50+ global manufacturing locations. The role will work closely with a variety of senior stakeholders across the organization, to develop and execute strategies for meeting carbon footprint goals globally.
This role can be located from the Sheboygan, WI; Milwaukee, WI; Green Bay, WI or Chicago, IL areas with 20% travel (primarily domestic/US) anticipated
The Role:
Successfully develop and implement a life cycle inventory (LCI) to identify, communicate and develop strategies for mitigating enterprise level carbon risks and opportunities
Develop and execute short-term and long-term strategies to meet enterprise-wide carbon footprint goals successfully
Analyze company data relating to its carbon footprint, and utilize this to identify areas of focus and develop relevant improvement projects
Impement industry best practices as it relates to carbon management, partnering with manufactuirng and supply chain operations throughout the organization
Collaborate with other environmental / sustainability experts within the organization; ensure LCI/A methodology is compliant with ISO 14044 standards
The Candidate:
Bachelor's degree required in engineering, environmental sciences, sustainability or other relevant discipline
5+ years of relevant sustainanability experience within manufacturing/engineering environments
Knowledge and experience of carbon reduction programs across scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions categories with a proven track-record of significant results in this area
Experience developing and implementing a life cycle inventory (LCI) successfully; knowledge/experience of CDP reports would also be desirable
Based from (or willing to relocate to) the Sheboygan, WI; Milwaukee, WI; Green Bay, WI or Chicago, IL areas with a willing to travel ~20% of the time
