Safety Officer


A leading hotel and resort is looking for a Safety Officer to join their team based in Alpine, CA. You would be responsible for overseeing safety matters across the resort to assure the highest possible degree of safety for all team members and guests. The Role:

  • Drive forward safety performance across the resort, ensuring continuous improvement and feeding back to the EHS Director regarding key safety metrics
  • Take an active role in the development and improvement of the safety training program (build matrix, coordinate/facilitate training, update records, etc.)
  • Conduct site safety inspections, hazard assessments, accident reports and audits as necessary
  • Arrange weekly safety meetings with Department Leaders to ensure best practice and commitment to company safety goals
  • Ensure company compliance in relation to industry regulator standards (OSHA) 

The Candidate: 

  • A self-starter, with strong communication skills who can engage with internal & external stakeholders alike
  • Circa. 3-5 years hands on related experience in a safety or environmental capacity
  • Experience dealing with regulatory bodies e.g. OSHA
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays, and be on-call when required
