EHS Manager

Description

A local agriculture organization is seeking an EHS Manager to develop and implement site Safety and Environmental programs and objectives within their facility in Josephine County. The incumbent will report directly to the Plant Manager, and be tasked with developing and implementing all site-wide EHS programs and policies. The EHS Manager will be the stand-alone EHS professional, and will be responsible for all EHS training programs and work with site management to ensure compliance. Compensation is dependent on experience. Relocation assistance will be provided.

The Role:

  • Develop, strategize and implement a long-term plan for the site's EHS functions
  • Influences all employees to drive EHS performance
  • Providing practical and technical expertise, advice, and solutions
  • Promoting continuous improvement efforts in the EHS function, integrating tactical and strategic EHS planning
  • Develop and conduct EHS training

The Candidate:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Safety Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety Sciences, or related technical field
  • 3+ years’ Safety experience within a manufacturing environment (chemicals or agriculture preferred)
  • Excellent communication skills - ability to influence others and speak confidently to employees at all levels
