John Morrison profile:

John Morrison consults broadly across the Australian Construction industry to inspire Leaders and their teams to Reduce or Avoid Rework (ROAR). John is a ROAR coach and consultant, facilitator, researcher, author and key-note speaker. His consulting work focuses on supporting clients and their partners to reduce rework and mitigate its insidious safety and commercial impacts.

Currently, John consults with major construction firms such as McConnell Dowell, Laing O’Rourke, John Holland and a range of Tier 2 and 3 construction firms. He is also currently consulting with government stakeholders such as Melbourne Metro, Level Crossing Removal Program and Barwon Water Authority to support these clients to lay strong foundations for ROAR.

John has a wealth of leadership/facilitation experience with 20 years in sports and facility management and then delivering SQE Leadership programs for JHG and CPB across Australia 2008-2014. Thereafter he co-designed and delivered the Safety Culture programs on Sydney Metro’s North West Rapid Transit and Tunnel projects worth over $7 billion from 2015-17.

He is a nine times published author in major international engineering journals on rework prevention and safety programs in Australian Civil Construction. He is currently collaborating with Professor Peter Love from Curtin University (W.A.) on further research on error management and mitigation with Australian Tier One Construction firms.
