CQI ISO 45001 Report – Understanding the International Standard

  • Publish Date: Posted over 4 years ago

ISO 45001 has been more than four years in the making, and its publication has been eagerly anticipated.

It is the first international management systems standard that gives organisations a framework on which to define, demonstrate, and develop excellence in the management of occupational health and safety (OH&S). It is designed to help organisations build safe working environments, and reduce workplace injuries and illness.

The publication of ISO 45001 completes the “suite” of standards addressing health, safety, environment and quality (HSEQ). A common framework, common definitions, and common text will help organisations build effective and efficient management systems that define management intent and see it put into action; which provide assurance to customers, suppliers and regulators; and which cut waste and repetition, and drive improvement.
