A principal contractor with a global presence is looking for a Health and Safety Advisor to lead multiple exciting civil engineering and build projects in the North West. The role will have a strong site presence, where you will build relationships with project teams and ensure compliance throughout. Candidates ideally to have strong civil engineering background with knowledge of construction industry

The Role:

To lead SHE on site and be the main point of contact for all SHE related queries
To prepare and undertake audits and inspections of all company operations
Prepare health and safety reports and statistical/performance data and present reports at all management levels as required
Record audit findings within the required database system and ensure the details of any improvement actions are further recorded in the database
To investigate reports of accidents, incidents and near misses, determine their causes and make recommendations for improving recurrence prevention and controls
Review Risk Assessments and Safety Method Statements in accordance with company management system procedures

The Candidate:

3 years plus experience working in Health & Safety
Previous experience working within Civil Engineering and Construction environments are essential
NEBOSH Certificate minimum, ideally NEBOSH Diploma or working towards
Tech IOSH, working towards Grad IOSH
Enthusiastic individual who is looking to progress in safety
