Health and Safety Manager - Northamptonshire - Permanent - £50,000 - £60,000 plus package

An opportunity has arisen for a Health and Safety Manager to join a global construction and civil engineering company working on a large highway’s infrastructure project based in Northamptonshire region The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years' experience in health and safety, managing a team of safety professionals on major projects worth £50 million +. Previous experience working for a Principal Contractor and have highways knowledge would be a distinct advantage 

The Role:

  • Offer operational and functional advice to the delivery team 
  • Lead a team of Health & Safety Advisors across the project 
  • Set standards and lead by example in the management of Health and Safety 
  • Assist in investigations or accidents, near misses, dangerous occurrences and other incidents 
  • Promote best practice across the project 
  • Undertake and assist with managing and monitoring of Health and Safety reporting and analysing data 
  • Lead the implementation of a behavioural safety program across the business.

The Candidate:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working in Health and Safety, ideally in a highway’s environment 
  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent minimum 
  • Grad IOSH, working towards CMIOSH
  • Previous experience working managing a team and major projects
  • Previous experience working for a Principal Contractor would be a distinct advantage 
  • Enthusiastic professional who is always looking to grow and progress in their SHE career
