Our client are one of the market leaders in Testing, Inspection and Certification services, they have a vacancy for a home-based Fire Scheme Assessor. This is a great opportunity to develop your career within the Product Certification industry providing certification to companies within the construction sector involved in the installation and maintenance of fire doors and other passive fire solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, book and carry out site assessments of passive fire protection measures within the timescales required under the rules of Q-Mark certification schemes
- Accurately record and submit assessment findings in line with operational target objectives
- Review and approve responses to any non-conformances raised during assessment visits within agreed timescales
- To act as the first point of contact for any technical/certification queries that customers may have
- Make certification decisions on behalf of the client
- Represent the company in a professional manner
- To undertake any other duties requested by management.

- Good IT skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)

- Able to operate as part of a team or alone
- Willingness to travel extensively in the UK
- Experience in the construction sector preferably with knowledge of the installation of fire doors or fire related products
- A good general education preferably to A level or above including as a minimum English, Mathematics and Sciences (Grade C or above) or equivalent
- Full training, including the IRCA ISO 9001 Lead Auditor qualification, will be provided
