Health and Safety Coordinator

Description

A leading manufacturing company is looking to hire a Health & Safety Coordinator in Mississagua, ON to assist with day-to-day safety. Working closely with leadership, you would be responsible for assisting in the development of a strong safety program, writing out policies and procedures, and interacting on the floor to influence a strong safety culture. 

The Role:

  • Development and implementation of new strategies and initiatives to continually improve the safety program
  • Collect, analyze and report on safety metrics and KPIs,  identifying trends and utilizing results to manage, modify and deliver safety priorities across the business
  • Keep up to date with industry regulators to ensure  compliance with any legislative/regulatory changes
  • Organize training, conduct audits, and assist with day to day safety

The Candidate:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety, Engineering or related discipline 
  • Proven HS experience circa. 2+ years
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders, across all business levels
  • Ability to work onsite
