A national distribution business is seeking a Senior UK Health & Safety Manager in a newly created position leading the largest business unit for the company. This is an exciting time to join this organisation, as they have made a number of aquisitions and have recently hired a new Health & Safety Director who is bringing in a fresh strategy to the organisation. The Health & Safety Director is looking for an up and coming leader who is able to think strategically.
The Senior Health & Safety Manager will be responsible for:
- Leading the delivery of the H&S strategy & programmes for their Business Units to drive sector leading safety performance and a positive safety culture.
- Developing training initiatives to improve health & safety performance and culture, influencing business management teams to foster engagement & adoption.
- Understanding of emerging trends, themes and focuses within the health & safety profession and how they relate / impact the organisation.
- Supporting the Health & Safety Director to develop a framework and strategy for the group.
The Senior Health & Safety Manager will have:
- Degree qualified.
- The ability to think stategically.
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent level 6 qualification.
- Line management experience desirable.
