Description
A global industrial manufacturing company is looking for a CIH-certified Industrial Hygienist to supervise, coordinate, and assess the effectiveness of health and safety programs/policies across 8 of their facilities nationwide. Leading the Industrial Hygiene for these sites, the successful candidate will be tasked with leading occupational health programs and hazard assessments to ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies. The Role:
- Conduct Injury and Illness Investigations, Root Cause Analysis
- Work to improve the IH program, PPE program, and Respiratory Protective Programs
- Influences management to drive EHS performance
- Oversee health risk assessments, analyses of operational procedures, equipment and materials, and audits
- Inspect work areas and address identified non-conformities to ensure safe work requirements are attained
- Manage the process to review, approve or reject chemicals for use on site. Serve as a technical expert in chemical analysis, equipment, and processes
The Candidate:
- MUST be a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)
- At least have an A.S. in Industrial Hygiene-related field
- B.S. degree in IH-related field preferred
- 4+ years of industrial hygiene experience
- MUST be a U.S. Citizen
