I have an exciting opportunity working for a leading rail services business who are searching for an experienced health & safety professional who has experience working in a rail or highly process driven environment. The ideal candidate will be based in Staffordshire but would be open to South Yorkshire location also. Ideal candidate will be a strong leader seeking to join a business where they can look at continuous improvement of the HSEQ processes/policies and procedures.

The Health, Safety, Environment & Quality Manager will be responsible for:

  • Promoting a positive & proactive health & safety culture across the project
  • Provide proactive expert advice to the executive team on all HSEQ related issues
  • Attend and contribute at Management Team Meetings
  • Develop clear HSEQ accountability for all levels in the organization
  • Coach line leadership and provide professional support in the execution of their HSEQ responsibilities
  • Ensure that all accidents and incidents are reported, investigated and effectively closed out in a timely manner and that lessons are learnt throughout the company
  •  Effectively lead and provide direction to own direct reports


The Health, Safety, Environment & Quality Manager will have:

  • 4 years plus experience working in health & safety
  • Qualified to Diploma level or equivalent - Grad IOSH
  • Previous experience working in a rail or high process driven environment
  • Proactive and engaging individual who has a passion for health & safety
  • Experience of leading a team
