Description

A national chemicals manufacturing company is seeking a Safety Manager to lead the Health and Safety program for one of their facilities in Philadelphia. Leading a team of direct reports, the Safety Manager will be responsible for developing and managing safety programs, fostering a healthy safety culture, and assisting with all training at the plant level.

The Role:

• Driving a culture of safety across the plant to reduce injuries and accidents
• Promoting continuous improvement efforts in the Safety function, integrating tactical and strategic safety planning
• Assist in the management of site safety programs
• Ensure compliance with local and federal regulatory agencies

The Candidate:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health & Safety or a related technical field
• 5+ years’ safety experience within a manufacturing environment (chemicals or petrochem preferred)
• Experience managing direct reports
• Demonstrated knowledge of Behavior Based Safety programs and processes
• Excellent written and oral communication skills are required
