We have partnered with one of the largest and most successful construction and civil engineering companies in the UK. This company provides a wide range of construction services including building, civil engineering, and specialist engineering services. The company has completed many large-scale projects across the UK and is known for its focus on safety, quality, and sustainability in all its projects.

Due to the great levels of development and training on offer, we are able to consider health and safety professionals from similar sectors such as utilities, construction or rail, so this is a great chance to continue your personal and professional career growth. All applicants must be eligible to work in the UK and hold the NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent as a minimum.

The Health and Safety Advisor will be responsible for:

  • Lead by example
  • Provide sound and industry leading advise to project stakeholders.
  • Carry out audits/inspections of Sisk workplaces at a frequency and with the intrusiveness as coached by the BU HSE Manager.
  • Attend sites following accidents/incidents and assist with the investigation. In the absence of the Project Director or HSE Manager lead the investigation.
  • Liaise with enforcement authorities if they attend site to investigate following an incident.
  • Assist the HSE Manager in preparation of a Health and Safety report for the BU MD at applicable internals.
  • In the absence of the HSE Manager assist tender and prequalification teams where requested advising on Health and Safety concerns as well as helping provide practical solutions.
  • Attend Start Up meetings with your line manager and Sisk site teams. Where requested attend supply chain meetings.


The Health and Safety Advisor will have:

  • 2 years’ safety experience in the civil engineering or construction
  • NEBOSH/NCRQ Certificate or equivalent as a minimum
  • Temporary works training and awareness of lifting operations
  • Knowledge & understanding of risk assessment processes and techniques
  • A full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel the region as required
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills
