EHS Engineer

Description

A global manufacturing firm is seeking an EHS Engineer at one of its main locations near Columbus, NE. The incumbent will be working with the local team to foster a culture in which safety, compliance, and operational excellence are at the forefront. The Engineer will help develop and implement EHS data management systems, procedures, processes, and training at the plant level.

The Role:

  • Provide Safety & Environmental program oversight (OSHA Compliance, CAA, NPDES, RCRA, SWPPP, WW, Etc.) for the entire facility
  • Support and implement safety systems (e.g. LOTO, IH, Machine Guarding, JSA, etc.)
  • Conduct Site risk assessments, ergonomics, and engineering reviews and make recommendations 
  • Analyze safety & environmental data, self-assessments, reports, and trends 

The Candidate:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred in EHS, Engineering, or related field 
  • 3+ years of EHS management experience in a heavy manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of OSHA and required documentation skills
  • CSP, ASP, or other safety professional or industrial hygienist training certificates are preferred
