Group Head of ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance) Shirley Parsons have been exclusively retained to appoint a Group Head of ESG with a fast paced, infrastructure business, that operates in high-risk environments across the UK. As Group Head of ESG, this is a key position for the business, being part of the executive team and reporting to the CEO. You will be pivotal in building, driving and embedding the sustainability strategy and be accountable for safety across the business. You will also be responsible for getting the best out of your HSEQ team and ensure standards are met and exceeded. A background in Health & Safety is not a necessity, as being a proven leader with a strategic mindset is key, as long as you also have the aptitude to learn. In order to be successful as Group Head of ESG, you will need to have a strong background in CSR and/or decarbonisation, ideally within an infrastructure organisation and have proven experience leading others. There are several areas where you will be able to make an impact and expand and improve what is currently in place, and areas where your innovation and creativity is needed to set up and run new initiatives. Naturally, strong communication and influencing skills are a must for this role. This position would suit someone, who is either in a similar position or equally someone who is ready for that step up to lead ESG for a medium size enterprise.
