Description
A leading global industrial organization is looking to hire a Director of Safety to support a large facility in the Kankakee, IL, area. The ideal candidate will be tasked with updating and developing Safety programs and policies across the site, responsible for overseeing organizational compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations.
The Role:
Influences regional and local stakeholders to drive the Safety performance
Accountable for preparing and managing Safety documentation
Monitors changes to all Safety regulations and conducts regular audits
Supports company interface with regulatory authorities for regulatory visits
The Candidate:
Bachelor’s Degree in EHS/Science/Engineering or a related technical field preferred
5-7+ years' experience in relevant Safety positions
Experience within a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment
Hands-on, "boots on the ground" approach to H&S
