£45,000 - £60,000

We are working on an exciting Health & Safety opportunity to join a global Engineering Consultancy as a Health & Safety Consultant/Senior Consultant. Within the position, candidates will contribute to the growth of the company's strategic Health & Safety risk management services in the UK and overseas, working across a range of clients and markets with a growing team of consultants. To succeed in this role, you will need to have a background in Health & Safety, within a Manufacturing / Chemical / Warehousing environment or as a Consultant working with these types of clients. You must have the ability to deliver a high standard of work with fine attention to detail and a sound knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation. This role will be working nationwide, but with a base in Yorkshire, Manchester or the Midlands ideally.

The Health & Safety Consultant will be responsible for:

  • Delivering Health & Safety risk management services in a multi-disciplinary project environment
  • Working closely with a range of clients, mainly within the Manufacturing and Chemical Sectors
  • Delivering project work (including corporate and regulatory compliance auditing, report authoring, risk assessment, training delivery, ad-hoc advice, and a wide range of other bespoke client solutions)
  • Developing proposals for new client work and supporting on bids/tenders
  • Supporting the wider promotion of Health & Safety services throughout the UK business


The successful Health & Safety Consultant will have:

  • At least 3 years experience in a Health & Safety role, within a Manufacturing / Chemical / Warehousing / Consultancy environment
  • A NEBOSH / NCRQ Diploma or equivalent qualification and be TechIOSH / GradIOSH with plans to obtain CMIOSH status
  • A strong understanding of UK Health & Safety legislation and maintaining compliance
  • Ability to work in a team, but with independence to manage your own workload
  • A Full clean UK driving licence, access to a car and be happy travelling
