About Max

​My Name’s Max and I’m a Careers Consultant and specialise within the Construction Consultancy Sector. This involves speaking with a range of candidates and clients regarding Construction Health & Safety, CDM, and Principal Designer vacancies. I’ve been working for Shirley Parsons for almost 4 years and have always focussed on the Consultancy industry which I’ve loved – especially getting out and about meeting people.

Before joining Shirley Parsons, I worked in hospitality doing bar and waiter work after graduating from university, where I studied Economics.

I enjoy attending industry events and workshops and have been involved in running and presenting CDM specific webinars to try and encourage more people to join the sector – if you ever want to find out more about the wonderful world of CDM and Principal Designers, hit me up!

Outside of work, I enjoy my sport, whether it’s playing Tennis and Golf (poorly), or watching the Rugby and Football with a creamy pint of Guinness.

Unpopular opinions: I don’t enjoy roast dinners, I don’t like drinking tea, I love sparkling water and Beyoncé is overrated…please don’t @ me.

A national and multi-disciplinary consultancy are looking for an experienced CDM and Construction Health & Safety Consultant to manage and grow an upcoming region for their H&S Advisory team around Manchester and Leeds. You will have exposure to a wide range of projects delivering Construction Health & Safety, Principal Designer and CDM Advisory services. You will be given ownership to coordinate and manage the business' goals in the Northern Region and become part of a business who have a reputation for delivering a high-quality service to clients, adding true value to the client. The role of the Associate Health & Safety / CDM Consultant will be to: Ensure projects comply with CDM 2015, this is through involvement throughout design and influencing the project team to eliminate risk through designManage and grow the Northern region's Health & Safety Advisory offeringCarry out full Principal Designer duties under the CDM regulations 2015, including chairing Design Team Meetings & full Design Risk Management complianceAttend construction sites to complete Health & Safety inspections and audits, reporting to the clientWork with the multi discipline and BD team in the region. This role will involve managing a range of projects and working with clients to deliver tailored Principal Designer and CDM Advisory services. The successful candidate will have a strong Principal Designer background and will be looking continue their professional development within a well-experienced and driven team. The position will be a based from their London offices, with some flexibility to work from home as well as visiting sites when required.
