About Jessica

​Hi! My name's Jess and I'm a Principal Careers Consultant overseeing the Quality Division covering a wide range of sectors such as Construction, Civil Engineering, Manufacturing, Services, and many more.

I've worked for Shirley Parsons since 2018 and over this time I've gained my QMS ISO9001:2015 Foundation course, attended CQI events and been involved in CQI articles. Additionally, I've created and lead a Quality forum throughout the pandemic and I'm keen to continue growing my career within the Quality space.

Quality ManagerBordon, HampshireHybrid / Flexible working (Mon-Thurs 08:30- 17:00 & Friday 08:00- 13:30)£45,000 - £50,000 (negotiable) + benefits package Shirley Parsons is delighted to be working with a leading Distribution & Packaging organisation within the Aerospace & Defence industries They are looking to hire a Quality Manager who will oversee compliance, the QMS and regulatory requirements for the business. There will be travel on a Quarterly basis to Yorkshire. The Quality Manager Responsibilities: Maintain our EN9100/9120 Quality Management System Ensuring the General Manager is kept fully briefed on all issues relating to quality. Provide support to department managers in quality matters. Help identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives. Plan and manage internal audits in Hampshire & Yorkshire site and ensure corrective actions are carried out in a timely manner. Participate in Management Review Meetings. Carry out investigations into quality escapes and document using 8D techniques etc. Complete customer quality questionnaires. Provide support to customers on regulatory matters such as Export Control (ITAR & SPIRE), REACH, RoHS and other relevant regulations.  The Quality Manager Skills & Experience: Must have experience of working with quality systems (preferably aerospace EN9100/9120). Lead auditor trained (preferably EN9100). Knowledge of quality practices like 8D. Experience of internal auditing. IT literate – Effective use of Microsoft Office software; Excel, Word and PowerPoint and Visio. The role requires that the candidate must be responsible, calm, focussed and motivated, whilst demonstrating a proactive, organised, and flexible approach to changing priorities. The candidate will have good Problem-Solving Skills. They must be professional and capable of communicating at all levels, both internally and externally. A flexible approach to working hours and practices is necessary.
