A Tailored Search Campaign For AMEA Regional HSE Director

Our client is a global leader for integrated commercial solutions. With over 8,000 employees in 4 regions throughout the world, they are a growing company with ambitions to increase their global footprint by developing new markets and expanding current operations.

The Challenge

Due to the promotion of the HSE Director for Asia, Middle East and Africa (AMEA) to the position of Global VP, our client needed to recruit a replacement to continue the HSE progression in the region. The AMEA HSE Director reports to the President of AMEA and plays a key role in the regional senior management team. The role could be based anywhere within the region.

Our Approach

Several executive search companies were approached to provide proposals. After pitching to the AMEA HR Director, Shirley Parsons was selected because of our global footprint and track record of executive search within HSE. We took a detailed brief from internal stakeholders and developed a search strategy to identify potential candidates for the position. Following a comprehensive search and approach campaign including the digital interviewing of candidates throughout the region including South Africa, Australia, Egypt, South Korea and the UAE, a short-list was presented to the client. Two outstanding candidates were progressed to final interview, one of which was selected for the position.

Following an initial acclimatisation process, the candidate has settled into the position and has enabled the previous job holder to focus on his new global role.
