Shirley Parsons have partnered with an NHS trust based in Scotland who are looking to bring on a Health and Safety Manager to join the team, in a newly created position. The successful candidate will manage a Health and Safety Team and lead on delivery of Health and Safety services in a regional capacity.
The Health and Safety Manager will be responsible for:
- Working at a strategic level to lead on the Health and Safety, delivering input at a directorate level in line with the Health and Safety Plan
- Lead a team of 7 Senior Health and Safety Advisors and Advisors to achieve Health and Safety targets in line with the Health and Safety strategy
- Deliver Health and Safety services to an extensive portfolio of properties including hospitals, clinics and care homes
- Lead a team to deliver Health and Safety training, audits, risk assessments and accident/incident investigations
The Health and Safety Manager will have:
- 5 + years in a Health and Safety position, ideally within Healthcare or similar relevant sector
- Experience line managing a Health and Safety Team
- CMIOSH - GradIOSH Candidates considered with relevant sector and line management experience
- Level 6 Diploma in Health and Safety or degree level qualification (essential)
- Experience working at a senior level and confident providing reports at board level
- Full UK driving licence and the ability to travel regionally
