Senior Health & Safety Manager
Home based (working across West England/Wales)
Permanent
£65,000 - £70,000 plus bonus and wider package

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced health & safety professional to join a leading utilities business. The opportunity presents a great challenge where this position will be responsible for leading the health & safety for the business and responsible for growing a team. The position will initially be standalone and require travel across Northwest, Wales, Southwest region. The ideal candidate will have a strong utilities or civil engineering background, to have knowledge of strategy and happy to be home based with travel.

The Senior Health & Safety Manager will be responsible for:

  • Develop, own and deliver the health & safety strategy for the business
  • Work with senior stakeholders to promote a positive & proactive health & safety culture
  • To manager and continuously improve the Health & Safety Management Systems
  • Take the lead on serious incident investigations and to support others in the business
  • Drive and maintain ISO 45001 certification
  • Work with site teams to ensure compliance and positive attitude towards health & safety

The Senior Health & Safety Manage will have:

  • 5 years + experience working in health & safety
  • Experience in working in civil engineering or utilities is a must to be considered
  • Leadership experience and implementing strategy would be a distinct advance
  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent
  • CMIOSH or Grad IOSH and working towards CMIOSH
  • Happy to be home based with travel
