Shirley Parsons are excited to have partnered with the University of East London who are looking to bring on two Health, Safety and Wellbeing Business Partners to be based from the Docklands or Stratford Campus. This is a site-based position and candidates must be on site 3 days a week as a minimum. This opportunity will allow the successful candidate to work across a diverse portfolio at the University, working as part of the wider Health, Safety and Wellbeing team.

The Health, Safety and Wellbeing Business Partner will be responsible for:

• Developing and maintaining close and effective relationships with relevant stakeholders and providing advice and guidance to staff at all levels of the organisation on HSW issues
• Proactively identifying risks and assisting in devising appropriate controls and undertaking inspections and audits to ensure controls are in place and working
• Leading the development of appropriate Risk Assessments in the schools and services
• Planning and delivering HSW training and producing additional training materials where required
• Ensuring that all personnel have the necessary knowledge and H&S training to carry out the duties allocated to them
• Leading on and contributing to wellbeing projects and initiatives

The Health, Safety and Wellbeing Business Partner will have:

• 2 + years' experience in Health and Safety within a multi-site role
• Experience within Construction or CDM desirable
• Level 3 Certificate in Health and Safety (such as NEBOSH/NCRQ Certificate) - Essential
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels
