£35-45K + car allowance
Shirley Parsons have partnered with a major infrastructure company who is looking to grow its highly successful environmental team with an Environmental Advisor. This opportunity has become available due to a new contract being won in the Bedfordshire region.
The Environmental Advisor will be overseeing highways projects across the Bedfordshire region and will be responsible for environmental management of projects as well as supporting the delivery of ambitious carbon and sustainability targets.
This is a great opportunity to work on major projects within a highly successful team.
Candidates must hold right to work in the UK as well as a full UK driving licence.
The Environmental Advisor will be responsible for:
- Developing, implementing, and monitoring projects inline with the environmental management systems
- Provide technical advice and direction to key internal and external stakeholders, across both design and construction phases.
- Assist with obtaining environmental permits, consents, licences, and exemptions as well as monitoring compliance.
- Undertaking environmental assessments and coordinating the management of environmental risks
- Carrying out internal and external environmental audits and across projects and supply chains
The Environmental Advisor will have:
- Degree qualified or equivalent in environmental, science or related discipline
- A good understanding of ISO 14001
- Knowledge of ecological, waste and pollution risks on construction projects
- Knowledge and experience of undertaking sustainability, carbon and/or biodiversity assessments
