A major civils contractor is looking to appoint an Ecology Manager to join their team. You will work closely with the project teams to ensure ecology commitments are met, mitigation measures are in place, and you will lead on legislation and policy related to all ecology matters.

The Ecology Manager will be responsible for:

• Delivery of all ecology related requirements

• Advising the teams on any ecology related matters

• Having an influence on the ecological design and survey requirements

• Dealing with external bodies

• Securing organisational licenses for protected species

The Ecology Manager will have:

• Previous experience in delivering ecology projects

• Strong technical knowledge of ecology practice and legislation

• Experience identifying opportunities and risk of the assurance process

• Strong communication skills

• A relevant degree or equivalent
