A renowned University is seeking a Chemical Safety Specialist to join a team in the research laboratory. The Chemical Safety Specialist will be working as part of the broader EHS team and have responsibility for the multiple specialty programs.

The role:

• Working closely with the EHS staff to maintain a strong and collaborative chemical safety program
• Developing and implementing chemical safety training to researchers of all levels
• Provide insight and management to special chemical safety programs
• Building strong relationships with researchers and PIs 

The candidate:

• 3-5+ years in chemical safety, laboratory safety, or the pharmaceutical industry
• Bachelor's Degree in EHS, IH, lab safety, microbiology, molecular biology, biology or related discipline (Advanced Degree preferred)
• Professional certification strongly preferred (Certified Biological Safety Professional, Registered Biosafety Professional)
• Ability to manage and a strong communicator 
• Ability to communicate complex technical issues to diverse clients
• Ability to build and maintain strong collaborative and professional relationships with EH&S staff, Principal Investigators, researchers and clients
