About Ben

​Ben has been working with Shirley Parsons since 2013 and has been responsible for the growth of the renewables business globally. Based in the UK Ben has assisted in setting up regional offices to facilitate growth and ensure that we have a presence in all of our major markets. In 2020 this saw Shirley Parsons open its first (but not last) office in APAC, inline with Shirley Parsons vision we want to have a physical presence in every worthwhile market around the world and Taiwan fell within this criteria. Ben has been working closely with our key accounts to help them meet their strategic objectives of delivering projects, upskilling workers in new territories and building a sustainable supply chains.

A leading container terminal operator is looking for an HSE Director, to join it's team based in Long Beach, CA. You will be responsible for setting the strategic vision for the corporate HSE program, leading a team of HSE personnel, and ensuring a commitment toward HSE excellence across all levels of the business. The Role: Take ownership over the development and implementation of new strategies and initiatives to continually improve the HSE program & cultureCollect, analyze and report on HSE metrics and KPIs, identifying trends and utilizing results to manage, modify and deliver HSSE priorities/trainings across the businessLead, mentor and develop all existing and future HSE personnel within the organizationEnsure compliance with all Federal, State, County, City, and Port Authority Regulations - ensuring the company stays up-to-date with any regulatory changes that require corrective action across operations.Lead the company shift from environmental compliance to environmental excellence. Environmental Manager

$100k - 110k per year + 10% bonus

A well known global manufacturing company is seeking an Environmental Manager to lead their environmental compliance and permitting systems, programs and strategy across their facility in Ottumwa, IA. This role will report directly into the Regional Environmental manager, and will oversee one direct report responsible for a range of environmental programs across manufacturing and assembly operations. The role: Oversee and manage all environmental compliance, reporting, permitting and certifications for the company; these include air permitting and reporting, spill prevention, hazardous waste, storm water and waste water programsProvide technical guidance and stay up-to-date on all relevant environmental standards and regulations that impact the organization, at federal, state and local level.Oversee and lead all environmental audits, and collaborate with various stakeholders to implement corrective action plans, based on these findingsManage an Environmental Specialist as a direct report, providing coaching and mentoring The candidate: Bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as Environmental Management or Sciences, is preferred5+ years of relevant environmental management experienceExcellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skillsDemonstrated knowledge of EPA regulations that impact the environmental programs of the organization, and a well-rounded technical skillset within air, waster and waste disciplines.
