Description

A multinational food and beverage manufacturer is seeking a Senior EHS Manager for their complex manufacturing facility in the Harrisonburg, VA area. Managing a team of direct reports and reporting into the Plant Director, the incumbent will be responsible for managing EHS programs at the site and working to promote a world-class safety culture.

The Role:

• Oversee EHS regulatory compliance at the plant, including PSM/RMP, OSHA, EPA, air and stormwater permits, waste management, and safety programs
• Build relationships with operations leaders and employees to continually develop the safety culture, and integrate health and safety into efficient manufacturing processes
• Serve as a member of the company EHS leadership team, helping to develop overall strategy and KPIs
• Manage a team of direct reports

The Candidate:

• 7+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing setting, preferably food and beverage or consumer goods
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science or related field required
• Knowledge of Environmental regulations, permitting, and compliance
• Excellent communication and influencing skills, able to effect change
• Strong manager and mentor, able to develop and coach EHS talent
