£28,000 - £40,000 plus package

An excellent opportunity for a health & safety professional based in Cumbria to join a power & energy business where they can continue to growth their knowledge and experience in a high risk industry. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years’ experience working in health & safety position but would be open to recently qualified candidates who are taking their first steps into the industry.

The Health & Safety Advisor will be responsible for:

• Provide support and advice to employees and contractors on site
• Maintain and updating of ISO systems (ISO9001, 140001 & 55001)
• Implementation and driving of SHEQ initiatives and improvements
• Supporting the SHEQ management team with the continued improvement of SHEQ culture on site
• Conducting audits, risk assessment and accident investigations when required

The Health & Safety Advisor will have:

• 1-2 years’ experience working in H&S industry but open to recently qualified candidates making their first steps into the sector
• NEBOSH certificate or working towards
• Experience in a utilities/power or civil engineering environment is desired but not essential
• Proactive and engaging individual who takes a coaching approach to applying health & safety
