An international medical device manufacturing firm is seeking an EHS Manager at one of its key locations near Long Beach, CA. Working under the direction of the EHS leadership team, the EHS Manager will be tasked with writing, developing, and managing the industrial safety and industrial hygiene programs. Experience working in an R&D, and chemical manufacturing environment will be highly preferred. 

The Role:

• Develop, implement, and maintain industrial safety programs and required standards such as fall protection, confined space, contractor safety management, and machine guarding.

• Create and manage emergency response plans, chemical hygiene plans, and job hazardous analyses. 

• Lead and conduct internal safety audits/inspections, risk assessments, and root cause investigations.

• Lead all Industrial Hygiene activities for the organization

The Candidate:

• Bachelor’s Degree in chemistry, engineering, EHS, or a related field

• 5-7 years of EHS experience, preferably in a chemical, pharmaceutical, or laboratory settings

• Demonstrated experience implementing industrial safety and industrial hygiene programs

• Strong knowledge of relevant regulations such as CalOSHA, OSHA, and EPA 

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
