We are currently seeking an experienced Interim HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality) Manager to join the team in Limburg for a contract duration of approximately 4 months. This position will oversee HSEQ operations with two direct reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards. Job Description:As the Interim HSEQ Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality management within our facility in Limburg. You will lead a team of two direct reports, collaborating closely with cross-functional departments to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and best practices in the chemical industry. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement HSEQ strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.Lead and manage a team of HSEQ professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure effective performance and achievement of objectives.Ensure compliance with local, national, and international HSEQ regulations, standards, and certifications relevant to the chemical industry.Identify, assess, and mitigate health, safety, environmental, and quality risks associated with chemical manufacturing processes and operations.Oversee the investigation and reporting of incidents, accidents, near misses, and environmental spills, implementing corrective and preventive actions as necessary.Coordinate internal and external audits, inspections, and assessments to monitor compliance and identify opportunities for improvement.Develop and deliver HSEQ training programs for employees, contractors, and stakeholders, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and environmental stewardship.Establish and maintain emergency response plans and procedures, conducting drills and exercises to ensure readiness for potential emergencies.Drive continuous improvement initiatives across HSEQ processes and systems, leveraging data analysis and feedback to enhance performance and efficiency.Collaborate with internal stakeholders, external agencies, and community partners to promote HSEQ awareness, communication, and collaboration. Job Description:As a Health & Safety Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of all personnel involved in the fit-out project in Amsterdam. Group HSSE DirectorFull time, RotterdamJob PurposePlanning, coordinating, monitoring, managing and/or reporting on the implementation of HSSE programs and permit application processes in an autonomous way. This position acts as a business partner to board and senior management and lead/develop the HSSE department, in line with in- and external regulations and in line with requirements of shareholders, in order to ensure compliance from a HSSE perspective, to prevent injuries or health impairment and to prevent and resolve safety and environmental problems.Responsibilities•HSSE: Monitor and review performance against leading and lagging HSSE KPIs, and patterns of behavior within the area of responsibility; Take action improve performance and to resolve non-compliance with the Group’s and Terminal’s HSSE policies, procedures and mandatory instructions.•Policy development and implementation: procedures and interprets and applies policy for HSSE to achieve specified outputs, or advise the wider business on application of policy, then monitor implementation of those procedures within the Terminals.•Compliance: in close collaboration with the terminal manager or MD take a leading or supporting role in acquiring the necessary permits and licenses, maintain relations with related regulatory offices and coordinate and facilitate (external) audits that cover identified risk areas and ensure that appropriate corrective actions are agreed on, in order to safeguard sustainable Terminal operations continuity.•Incident management and follow-up: in case of severe HSSE related incidents and crisis and non-compliance issues, intervene in the situation and as necessary support and/or provide compelling advice the Terminal Managing Director, in order to put a quick and decisive incident and crisis resolution in place for the Terminal. Use Root Cause Analysis (RCA) systematically to prevent and solve the underlying issues in order to create a save working environment.•Insights and reporting: Prepare and coordinate the completion of various HSSE data and analytics reports and report and present where applicable to the Board and management of the company, regulatory stakeholders on HSSE, auditors and the company’s shareholders.•Leadership and direction: Communicate the local action plan; explain how this relates to the HSSE strategy and action plan and the broader Group’s mission and vision; motivate people to achieve local business goals.
